In the 2023 ODI World Cup, India is entering as the No.1 ranked team by the ICC. Does it mean that India has a lot of chances to win this World Cup? If yes, how? And, if No, then you can support your answers with proper facts and thoughts.

It is good that India is entering as the No.1 team in the World Cup. The team's and individuals' confidence will be very high. Other teams will be scared to face India in the World Cup and this will be a very good thing for Team India.

ICC ranking basically doesn’t mean anything. ICC ranking changes every week. If a team doesn’t play ODIs regularly, their ranking will slip down even if they haven’t lost any match. So I think keeping the ICC ranking out of the equation is important.

I don’t think ICC ranking matters in the World Cup. All the teams don’t play their full-strength team regularly but they will play a full-strength team in the World Cup. So, the World Cup becomes unpredictable.
