The Australian ODI team is struggling as you might have already witnessed in the recent matches and when compared with the previous teams.

They have lost 5 matches on a Trott (3 vs. SA and 2 vs. IND). What could be the reason for this performance and do you think the new players are not that focused?

Overconfidence is the answer. Aussies are overconfident of their mediocre teams and are not consistently using their best bowling lineups.

With such an attitude, I don’t think they would stand a chance in the World Cup, which is barely a week away.

I don’t think of any overconfidence, but I feel it's because of a lack of firepower.

The Aussie team has talented players. But they lack the X-factor player, who could turn on the screws whenever required. In short, Australia needs someone like Cameron Green or Marcus Stoinis to stand up and take the game away from the opponents.

I believe they are struggling because of players getting exposed to opponents a number of times.

Unlike in the past, most of the Australian players have played agains their opponents as many times as possible. In this way, players are well known to understand each other’s game with accurate precision.
