Ever since 2015’s Adelaide test between the Kiwis and the Aussies, ICC has started the concept of including Day-Night test matches quite frequently.

The attempt of D/N test matches was made to attract a larger crowd, who prefer watching the longest format of the game played under lights. Now the question is, should ICC enforce the boards to only play D/N test matches instead of the classic Day tests?

Day-night test matches are exciting. ICC believes the format could revive many lapsed fans of the longest format, who are done spending the entire day watching a test match. Instead, D/N is a welcome move that all boards and ICC should consider making permanent.

Yes. I believe they should continue playing D/N tests instead of sticking to only Day test matches. This brings greater excitement and a new dimension to the best and the longest format of cricket.

In my defense, I don’t agree with the D/N test format. I believe it takes away the charm of playing regular Day-test matches. In fact, a day test offers a challenging condition that’s more than what a D/N test can offer in comparison.
