I feel the value proposition should be by how much money you draw.

Men’s cricket has historically drawn more money than Women's cricket. Despite the best effort from different cricketing boards to uplift women’s games, the viewership and sponsorship have not been even close to half of men’s games. In this aspect, if they equate the pay between a male and a female player, this becomes an unjust proposition for male players, as they bring in the major chunk of viewership. The topic is debatable for sure.

Only if there is equality of outcome.

I believe equality of outcome is something that should be always considered while paying someone/ a group of people. In many events outside sports like fashion-ramp walk shows, it is the women who earn more than their average male counterparts. This is because they bring more revenue to the table than men. So if that's a norm and accepted by society, why should it be any different for women?
