On October 1st, former CEO of nChain Group, Christen Ager-Hanssen, announced on social media that he had "immediately resigned from the position of CEO" after reporting several serious issues to the nChain Group's board of directors. Hanssen stated that he no longer believes that nChain's Chief Scientist, Craig Wright, is the creator of Bitcoin, Satoshi Nakamoto. Hanssen later posted a screenshot of a report that claimed to provide evidence of Wright's browsing history, contradicting his long-standing claims of being Satoshi Nakamoto.
Hanssen also mentioned that he, along with five others, had submitted a whistleblower report to the nChain board of directors, and subsequently, all six of them were either fired or suspended. Hanssen plans to make this report public, which reportedly involves the influence of billionaire Calvin Ayre on nChain's operations, whom Hanssen refers to as a "shadow director/dictator."
On the other hand, the nChain board of directors issued a statement saying that concerns about recent business management led them to commission a detailed independent investigation. They stated that Hanssen had acted in a severe and inappropriate manner before the board took action based on the investigation's findings, which ultimately led to his dismissal. |
