Pat Cummins, the Australian captain won the Test Championship this June against India. Now the ODI World Cup and the T20 WC are in successive years. If Cummins can carry the momentum and win these two Cups, he will equal Dhoni in winning three different ICC tournaments.

Cummins is a great leader. He understands the games and his players. He has done really well in the recent past. Also won the Ashes very comfortably. I think it is quite possible for Cummins but winning this ODI WC will be a task for him.

I don’t think Australia will be able to win this ODI World Cup. They have won 2/4 games and still have games against top teams like England, South Africa and New Zealand left.

This is a very wild thing to assume. But if Pat pulls this feat, he will definitely be considered one of the finest captains ever, especially being a bowling all-rounder.
