Jay Shah was invited to the opening match of the 2023 Asia Cup by Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Zaka Ashraf. Shah responded by stating that "he'd definitely attend it" and extended an invitation to the 2023 World Cup. Then, though, a U-turn occurred. BCCI and Shah declined the invitation. Jay Shah told that he didn't make any such guarantees. Furthermore, Pakistani media did it on purpose. Why do you think Pakistan misrepresented Jay Shah's assurances, and what point are they trying to convey through these actions? Is there any potential motive for Pakistan's actions?

It’s being widely reported in the Pakistani media that Shah accepted Ashraf’s invite to visit Pakistan for Asia Cup fixtures, which is completely false.

Throughout the year Pakistani or Indian it is always a such a critical situation of all the times we all know also, Shah's declination of changes his thoughts was the right decision I think soo, for the safety of the nation, and the Pakistani media misrepresentation is totally I think is generally general thinking of him. Although, No potential motive for Pakistan's actions.

I'll not be making any visit,” Shah told News18 CricketNext. The BCCI also said that “no such discussion” was held during the meeting between Shah and Ashraf.

I don't think so and the BCCI also said that there was "no such discussion" during the meeting between Shah and Ashraf.
