The Conflux Foundation, the project behind the Conflux Network public blockchain (Shanghai Tree Graph Blockchain Research Institute), announced yesterday that its multi-chain asset bridge, ShuttleFlow, developed over two years ago, will cease its services. The operation will be transferred to Zero Gravity, which also provides cross-chain services.

Service Termination Timeline:
The announcement indicates that for users who have already completed cross-chain transfers using ShuttleFlow and claimed assets on the destination chain, no additional action is required. However, users who have not claimed their assets need to be aware of the following timeline (Beijing time):

1. The cross-chain bridge service will end at 10:00 PM on the current day (November 8). After the service ends, users can check all unclaimed assets on the ShuttleFlow's history page.

2. Following the service end, the frontend components of ShuttleFlow, including its website and dApp, will only provide limited functionality for users to claim assets. This will be open until 10:00 PM on January 6 next year.

3. After 10:00 PM on January 6, users will only be able to access their assets through the backend.

Additionally, at the beginning of the announcement, to prevent users from misunderstanding that the discontinuation of the cross-chain bridge service is due to an attack, the project emphasizes that all user funds are safe and will be smoothly migrated to Zero Gravity.

After the termination of the ShuttleFlow cross-chain bridge service, users wishing to cross-chain to Conflux can use the official dApp of Zero Gravity or continue to use Conflux's official cross-chain bridge aggregator, which will integrate Zero Gravity in the future.

Reasons for Service Termination:
The considerations behind Conflux Foundation's decision to transfer its cross-chain protocol ShuttleFlow to Zero Gravity are not detailed. However, from the public statement, it can be inferred that this might be part of Conflux Foundation's strategy for decentralized operations. The foundation expresses in the public statement that the decentralization and accumulation of infrastructure partners will benefit its ecosystem. It believes that Zero Gravity will continue to maintain and improve the protocol, continuing to promote the free flow of assets within the Conflux network.

Moreover, in the opening of the announcement, it is noted that Zero Gravity's technical lead, Wu Ming, is (or at least was) a member of the Conflux Foundation. This speculation is derived from Wu Ming's presentation at the 44th International Conference on Software Engineering (ICSE) in 2022, where the research institute he belongs to is listed as the Shanghai Tree Graph Blockchain Research Institute (which is the Conflux Foundation). This may indicate a close connection between Zero Gravity and Conflux.

In addition, the supported blockchains by Zero Gravity further confirm its possible connection with Conflux. Specifically, Zero Gravity supports "BNB Smart Chain, Bitcoin, Ethereum, OKExChain, Huobi ECO Chain, and Conflux," which exactly overlaps with the combination supported by ShuttleFlow. This identical support range may imply a deep relationship between the two.

What is Conflux?
The Conflux Foundation was established in 2018, initially led by Turing Award winner and renowned computer scientist Yao Qizhi as the chief scientist. Conflux Network was launched on October 29, 2020, claiming to be the only compliant public chain in China.

Conflux is a hybrid L1 blockchain combining PoW and PoS. Its uniqueness lies in the "tree graph structure," allowing it to confirm multiple blocks simultaneously, breaking the existing blockchain technology bottlenecks in transaction throughput (TPS) and confirmation time. It achieves a high throughput of 3,000-6,000 TPS without compromising security.

The most well-known DEX on Conflux is MoonSwap. In February of this year, Conflux collaborated with the second-largest telecommunications provider in China, "China Telecom," to jointly develop a blockchain SIM card (BSIM) and launched a pilot project in Hong Kong, Hunan, and other locations. Conflux also entered into a partnership with Xiaohongshu (Little Red Book).

In summary, it appears that Conflux will exist for the long term.

We won't understand it by saying this. Just let us know how it affects our functionality.

Didn't expect it to stop the service so soon.
