Drinkwater, also known as "Water Drinker," has been exposed to a loss of £782,000 in restaurant investments. He announced his retirement just last week.
The Sun's exclusive report reveals that former Premier League star Danny Drinkwater, aged 33, suffered a loss of £782,000 due to the failure of his restaurant business. The "Water Drinker," who announced his retirement just last week, only became aware of the investment failure when informed by liquidators. His trendy restaurant, FoodWell, opened in Manchester in 2018, but it went bankrupt last year with debts totaling £2 million. Despite currently being in debt for £1.1 million, Drinkwater is determined not to give up and hopes for better luck with his latest restaurant venture. He now owns 70% of the shares in another dining business, Firefly, also located in Manchester.
