Since the world was hit by the COVID-19 pandemic, many countries have been greatly affected, causing changes in the lives of many people, and numerous businesses have closed during this period. However, for some individuals, adversity turned into fortune. In Thailand, a man opened a restaurant that had to close due to the pandemic, accumulating debts and eventually going bankrupt. Nevertheless, luck turned in his favor as he won a 6 million Thai Baht jackpot in the lottery, bringing unexpected prosperity.
Reported by Thai media on February 2, the 35-year-old Nitchana from Nakhon Phanom Province in Thailand was originally the owner of a restaurant. Due to the pandemic, Nitchana's restaurant had been closed for an extended period, resulting in no income. He borrowed a significant amount of money and declared bankruptcy. On February 1, 2022, Nitchana won the first prize of 6 million Thai Baht in the lottery. In an interview, he expressed his happiness at being able to repay his debts.
The new millionaire revealed that he purchased two lottery tickets with his favorite numbers. He said, "When the results were announced, I found that one of the tickets I bought had won the first prize. At first, I wasn't sure. I checked three times until I was sure I really won. Last night, I went to register at the Fong Song Police Station." Regarding how he plans to use the money, Nitchana mentioned that some of the winnings would be allocated for his two children's education expenses. Another portion would be used to repay the debts incurred from running the restaurant. Additionally, he plans to donate some funds to charity organizations, as he is someone who enjoys doing charitable deeds. As the saying goes, doing good deeds brings peace and accumulating merits and blessings in life. |
