Finally waited for the reunion of the Lakers' Big Three with the return of Anthony Davis!
Finally waited for you, luckily I didn't give up. The Lakers, after eagerly anticipating, finally saw the return of 'The Brow,' Anthony Davis. With this, the Lakers welcomed the first reunion of the Big Three after 39 days, preparing for the championship.
On December 18th last year, Davis suffered a left knee medial collateral ligament injury in the Lakers' game against the Timberwolves and had to leave the court early. Since then, he has been absent due to the sprained left knee MCL. As of the 25th, Davis had missed 17 consecutive games, and the Lakers had a record of 7 wins and 10 losses during this period, with a winning percentage of less than 50%. In Davis's absence, LeBron James was forced to play as a center, performing admirably, but the fluctuating performance of role player Russell Westbrook on the court was not strong enough, leading to the Lakers falling behind.
Fortunately, Davis returned just in time for the Lakers' game against the Nets, even starting in the lineup. Due to restrictions on the first appearance after his return, Davis made 8 attempts in 25 minutes, scoring only 8 points with 2 rebounds and 2 assists. Overall, his individual performance was not as dazzling as in the Lakers' championship season playoffs, but he still contributed significantly to the team. In the end, the Lakers secured a much-needed victory with a 109-96 score against the Nets. |
