I have a curious hypothetical question

Whether on this forum or others, if it were South Africa, not Australia, that defeated India in the World Cup final, how do you think Indian fans would react?

What about the atmosphere in the stadium? When Australia dominated, the fans were silent. Would there be more cheers for Indian players if South Africa were in the lead? Any thoughts?

I can accept it. I think most fans would probably react similarly to how they did with Australia.

I think perhaps there would be a more positive and enthusiastic reaction if South Africa won the World Cup or at least made it to the final.

If it was South Africa preventing our championship, I think I would find it more acceptable

In the stadium, I think there could have been more cheers for Indian players if South Africa were dominating. It's a hypothetical, but the vibe might be different.

On one hand, some fans might appreciate a different team winning. On the other hand, a loss is a loss, and it's always tough to swallow
