Today, I want to talk about values. I believe many people here may be facing the same issue – encountering a partner whose values don't align with their own. Love is a beautiful journey, but when two hearts come together and discover that their ""values"" are not entirely compatible, it may pose an inevitable challenge. In this complex world, each person carries unique perspectives on life, values, and the world. When these ideas collide, it stirs up the tumultuous waves of love.

The so-called ""values"" include three aspects: 1) Life View: Understanding of life, attitude towards life and death, and the interpretation of life goals and meaning. 2) Moral Values: Perspectives on morality, ethics, social norms, and individual judgment standards for the value of things. 3) Worldview: Understanding of the entire world, perspectives on society, politics, culture, and more.

It's not uncommon for a couple to realize later on that their values are not aligned. For example, I might be of the mindset to go with the flow and let things happen naturally, while ""you"" believe in putting in double the effort, striving for more, and constantly seeking improvement – a difference in worldview.

As for life views, it might be that I think the meaning of life lies in having a happy and fulfilling family, while ""you"" believe the meaning of life is in realizing personal value. This leads to the pursuit of different life goals, indicating a disparity in life views.

In terms of values, it could be that I find joy in the moment, while ""you"" prefer to save money diligently. ""You"" may feel unhappy about my spending habits, and I might think ""you"" are being stingy. I enjoy traveling and exploring, while ""you"" prefer staying at home. Lifestyle and consumption beliefs, which are part of values, result in differences of opinion.

Finding someone whose values align perfectly is indeed not easy. Love is not about two identical souls meeting; it's about two independent individuals finding harmony in their differences. Therefore, differing values pose a challenge but also an opportunity for growth. Through respect, understanding, and tolerance, we might discover a deeper connection in the relationship, creating our unique happiness. In the pursuit of resonance, compromise and tolerance are key. Both parties need to let go of preconceived notions, respect each other's independent thinking, and be willing to make adjustments for each other. It's a journey of mutual understanding that requires effort and patience.

In the end, if efforts don't lead to compatibility, there's no need to force oneself. Letting go of what doesn't suit you and finding someone who does is the best gift to oneself!

If values don't align, the only option is to separate.

If partners have misaligned values, they shouldn't have been together in the first place.

Anyway, I feel that having shared values is crucial; this way, life can be lived more enduringly.

Where are the shared values? Everyone is just focused on money.

Curious question: Are there really people in the world whose values align perfectly?
