After the last World Cup, Manchester United's Rashford shone, almost single-handedly securing good results in the latter part of the season. Following this, he earned a substantial £300,000-per-week contract. However, since the renewal, Rashford's performance has sharply declined. In the current season, he has only scored two goals, a far cry from his previous form.

Rashford, a homegrown talent, has always been beloved by Manchester United fans. However, inconsistency has been his major issue, causing contract renewal negotiations to stall. Fortunately, after last year's World Cup, Rashford improved, shedding his inconsistency. He scored a total of 30 goals for Manchester United in the previous season, contributing to the team's triumph in the Carabao Cup and a commendable third-place finish in the league.

This marked Rashford's peak at Manchester United, securing him the lucrative £300,000-per-week contract. Unfortunately, post-renewal, his performance in the new season has drastically declined. With only two goals in 18 appearances, one being a penalty, and a diminishing number of shots on target, fans are questioning the rapid decline in Rashford's form. Some speculate he played hard for the big contract and has since eased up, while others believe opponents have figured out his style, hindering him from replicating last season's success. Regardless, Rashford's downturn is considered a significant factor in Manchester United's poor performance this season.

Do you think Rashford's poor performance is because he was never good to begin with, or has he become lazy after getting a big contract?

The team is in an overall slump, with many tactics not revolving around him. Despite Rashford's capabilities, if the coach can't unite the team and bring out its potential, what can be done?

Manchester United as a team has issues, and it's not just about an individual; both the management and coaching staff are problematic. The main issue is a lack of harmony.

Perhaps it's a downturn period. The coach is also to blame, continuously fielding him despite poor performance. Oh, Manchester United...

The issue with Manchester United lies in the overall lack of cohesion, not the fault of any individual. The entire team seems to approach the game like a regular job, clocking in to play football, then clocking out after the match, collecting their high salaries leisurely. Moreover, there are players like Sancho who can't even get playing time, earning a weekly wage of over 200,000 pounds. They don't have to train or play, just imagine - sitting at home, money flowing in legally. You could say it's quite enjoyable, wouldn't you agree?

I feel this needs a change. Going on like this isn't ideal; the problems will only increase.

"The current season has seen a significant decline in Manchester United's performance compared to the latter part of the previous season. The team's overall performance has been quite poor, and it's not solely Rashford's responsibility. The current state of Manchester United gives the impression of chaos, extending from the management and coaching staff to the players. This may be related to the unsuccessful transfers during the summer, and perhaps the entire team is hoping for a new wealthy owner to come in. Despite these expectations, the situation remains unchanged, leading the team to adopt a lackluster approach to the season.

This season is not just about Rashford's subpar form; midfield and defensive players alike have struggled. Manchester United has scored only 16 goals in 14 matches, ranking as the fourth-lowest goal-scoring team in the Premier League this season. Therefore, it is hoped that the midfield of Manchester United can create more opportunities for Rashford. Rashford needs to step up and prove that his high salary is deserved, dispelling any notions of unwarranted fame.

Given the challenges Manchester United faces this season, Rashford's goals will be crucial."
