Sotheby's digital art department announces the auction of the work "BitcoinShrooms," part of the Bitcoin Ordinals project designed by the anonymous artist Shroomtoshi. The BitcoinShrooms series was originally minted on-chain on October 22. Both the BitcoinShroom website and the X account claim it to be the "first-ever Ordinals series" in history. Sotheby's stated, "The BitcoinShrooms collection is filled with a plethora of references—from iconic Bitcoin memes to advanced technical concepts—a visual symphony capturing the essence of Bitcoin from the perspective of early adopters." The auction is scheduled to take place from December 6 to 13, featuring three pieces available for bidding. Sotheby's accepts cryptocurrency bids, and the estimated sale price for these three pieces is around $20,000 to $30,000.
