The NBA has officially announced the Rookie of the Month awards for October and November. Thunder's second overall pick, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, was named the Western Conference Rookie of the Month, while the 18th overall pick for the Heat, Jamie Jakes, secured the title of Eastern Conference Rookie of the Month.

In October and November, Gilgeous-Alexander averaged 17.9 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 2.1 blocks per game.

During the same period, Jakes averaged 12 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game.
