According to the official tweet, the Avalanche wallet WebWallet will be discontinued on January 23 and transitioned to the new wallet Core. The WebWallet code will remain open source. Core is specifically built to accommodate advanced AVAX staking features and functionalities set to be launched soon, including support for validation, delegation, x/p/c access, cross-chain transfers, portfolio export, and more.
