Let's talk about this issue: conscience sometimes seems like a fool, constantly being exploited, making us hesitant to trust people again. Some individuals even give up being kind-hearted. But if someone truly has a conscience, they will ask themselves a question: Should we adhere to our conscience, or should we give up on it?

First, we need to understand what conscience is. Simply put, it's the moral compass within us, guiding us on what is right and wrong. However, in reality, people might resort to any means to achieve their goals, treating your conscience as a tool that understands nothing. In such situations, holding onto your conscience may feel like digging your own grave, providing others with an easy opportunity.

But wait! Don't think this leads to the conclusion of ""abandoning conscience."" Conscience is one of our human genes, the soul of societal functioning. If everyone loses their conscience, society becomes a chaotic place. Not to mention order, even basic justice would be lost. Conscience is also the adhesive in interpersonal relationships. If we all only pursue immediate benefits without considering others' feelings, the social network becomes fragile. Trust collapses, friendships disintegrate, and society turns into a battlefield of interpersonal cold wars.

The only thing we need to do is find a balance; maintaining a conscience doesn't mean we have to become saintly figures. Be smart, find a balance between kindness and sticking to principles. Understand when to be kind and when to uphold principles. Don't foolishly sacrifice yourself for someone else's petty gains.

Certainly, achieving this in reality is challenging because we often encounter various moral dilemmas and moments of dilemma. At such times, don't panic; weigh the pros and cons, and don't just focus on short-term benefits. Consider the long term, take responsibility for society, not just for yourself.

In conclusion, although conscience may sometimes be used as a tool by others, we shouldn't dismiss it. We need to learn to use it flexibly, finding the balance between kindness and sticking to principles. Only then can we maintain our conscience in this morally confusing society without being taken advantage of.

In conclusion, maintaining a conscience is not blindly pursuing kindness; otherwise, it would be called foolish goodness.

Conscience is one's own bottom line.
