World Economic Forum data shows that until 2050, Lagos, the capital of Nigeria, will become a mega-city with a population of 32 million, undoubtedly increasing its significance in the cryptocurrency market. However, it is claimed that so far, many local governments in the region still take a "risk-averse" stance towards Bitcoin, and Nigeria has not introduced formal cryptocurrency regulations.

Reportedly, Jack Dorsey attended a Bitcoin MeetUp during his time in Nigeria, continuing his "Bitcoin advocacy journey." Meanwhile, as Jack Dorsey made his statements, Africa remains interested in Bitcoin, with countries like Nigeria and South Africa being listed as the most active countries on Google searches for the keyword "Bitcoin."

Cash App, the payment software under Square, will start charging "users purchasing Bitcoin" up to a 1.76% separate fee. A Square spokesperson later confirmed that Cash App is indeed adjusting the fee structure for Bitcoin transactions and stated that, for transparency, future "transaction spread" will be separate from the "service fee."

It's worth noting that before this, Square reported in its financial statements that Cash App's Bitcoin sales were $125 million in the second quarter and $148 million in the third quarter, with profits of only $2 million each quarter.
