While a child's education is undeniably important, parental supervision should be balanced. Today, I want to share a story about parents who took it to the extreme. This young boy, nicknamed Xiaofei, consistently ranked first in his class. However, his parents believed he could do even better, pushing him to study harder. Sadly, this led Xiaofei to develop severe hysteria, resulting in multiple seizures daily.

In May of this year, Xiaofei's parents brought him to the hospital due to unexplained seizures and emotional issues. To their surprise, a psychologist discovered that Xiaofei's parents were the root cause of his condition. Despite consistently achieving top grades, Xiaofei's father was unsatisfied. After completing his school assignments, Xiaofei was forced to do additional exercises assigned by his mother, causing him constant stress, exhaustion, and sleepless nights.

During a personality test administered by the doctor, Xiaofei burst into tears, thinking he was doing homework. Anything related to reading, writing, or even holding a pen triggered sudden emotional outbursts and seizures. The doctor eventually diagnosed Xiaofei with hysteria due to forced learning, resulting in disturbances in perception, memory, emotions, behavior, self-awareness, and environmental awareness. His sleep deteriorated, and he experienced weight loss.

Initially, Xiaofei's parents dismissed his symptoms, thinking he was exaggerating. They believed he would recover after each seizure. Shockingly, even during Xiaofei's hospitalization, his mother attempted to make him memorize multiplication tables. Eventually, the doctor had to ask Xiaofei's parents to leave the hospital, allowing him to stay alone.

Fortunately, after some time of treatment, Xiaofei's emotions improved, his sleep patterns gradually returned to normal, and he regained lost weight. The doctor advised Xiaofei's parents not to be overly demanding and to let Xiaofei choose when to listen to their advice. While parents understandably want the best for their children's future, academics are not the sole aspect of life. Life offers a long journey ahead, and if a child is made to fear books and learning from an early age, what lies ahead for them? To all overbearing parents, remember to let children enjoy their childhood!

Haha, this is the "typical" Asian parent, right? Pushing a child to study even when they're in the hospital – that's really something else!

Encountering such ruthless tiger parents is truly a great misfortune for the child throughout their life.

The parents' desire for their child to succeed is certainly understandable. However, sometimes it's important not to impose one's unfulfilled dreams on the child. Each person has their own path in life, and it's important to believe that as the child grows up, they will find their own place in the world. Ultimately, health and happiness are the most important aspects of life.

For these parents, all I can say is that they have a problem. They are afflicted by their own issues, which they may not even realize, and instead, they are pushing their child into illness. It's as if they find some relief in doing so. The father is acting foolish, and the mother is following suit. It's a case of the whole family being affected by their problems. It's truly unfortunate.
