Indian team veteran cricketer and well as ex-India selector Sarandeep Singh   suggested team india that Shubhman should open in second test match against England while Rohit Sharma should play at no.3 spot
He told Shubhman has not well from few matches ,he could not  score a fifty in last 11 ininings his previous high score was 36 runs but Rohit has technically sound batsman and a better player of spin in comparison to Gill
Speaking with Hindustan Times he said
"Gill is not a number three player. He should open. Rohit is one of the best players of spin and can drop down to accommodate Gill at the top"
Veteran cricketer Wasim Jaafar also advocated that Shubhman should open and Rohit should hold no.3 spot  .
It will be very tough for team management because some key players are already out of second test match due to injuries while Kohli is not playing in second test match due to some personal reasons.
