On January 27, a joint report outlined the progress of the lawsuit between the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and Binance Holdings Ltd, BAM, submitted on January 25. The SEC claims that BAM has not provided some documents it deems crucial to the case. According to the SEC, since BAM submitted its last progress report on December 15, 2023, no additional documents have been submitted. BAM asserts that the documents it submitted are not deficient. BAM's position is that it intends to complete a final set of documents next week in response to the SEC's expedited discovery request. The joint progress report also notes that neither Binance nor CZ has submitted documents since the last progress report. The SEC has been in contact with Binance regarding the discovery request, and Binance has responded and agreed to provide a substantive response in the form of a separate letter.

The progress of the lawsuit should be public information from the government department.

It seems that providing the relevant documents is still necessary.
