Have you ever been expected by others? The expectations others have for you, is it a curse or motivation? Personally, I think it's a complex thing; it depends on how you deal with it.

Firstly, let's talk about what expectations are. It's the hope others have for you, you know, that feeling of wanting you to do better, to excel. Sometimes, these expectations may feel like a rope, choking you, making it hard to breathe. Other times, they may be like a guiding light, illuminating the path forward.

Some people feel that expectations behind them are like a curse. They feel confined, restricted within the expectations of others, as if they can never break free. I understand this feeling. It feels like an overwhelming pressure, as if every step is lived for others. It's a really unpleasant feeling, and I can empathize.

Expectations can also be a source of motivation. Some people, when they see the expectations others have for them, view it as a force propelling them forward. They feel expected to do better, to excel, so they give it their all and charge ahead. They're not doing it to please others but to prove themselves. This kind of motivation is stronger than anything.

So, how can you turn the expectations behind you into motivation? First, you need to understand yourself. Know your strengths and weaknesses, and be clear about what you want. Then, you need to learn to communicate. Don't let others' expectations become a burden; share your feelings with them and find a suitable solution together. Lastly, you need to have confidence. Believe in yourself, believe that you can do better.

Of course, sometimes, others' expectations may be too much, too overwhelming, making you feel suffocated. In these times, don't forget, you have the right to say no. Yes, you have the right to reject others' expectations, to protect your space and dignity. Remember, you live for yourself, not for others.

So, friends, are the expectations others have for you a curse or motivation? The answer lies in how you perceive it. It can be a towering wall or an open sky. It can be a burden or a source of motivation. Will you choose to be crushed by it or choose to soar with its help? That's your choice.

I still hope it's more of a motivation.
