Why did Ponting want Warner to lead Delhi capitals again in IPL 2024?

Ricky Ponting, the former Aussie skipper and current coach of Delhi Capitals, has confirmed that David Warner will continue to captain the franchise in the next edition of IPL. Ponting, who recently joined the Washington Freedom as the head coach of the new MLC team, said that Warner will take charge of the DC team if Rishabh Pant is still out of action.

Warner, who hung up his boots from Test and ODI cricket last month, made a comeback to the DC camp in the IPL 2022 mega auction. He led the team to the playoffs last year and is expected to do the same this year.
