Mourinho gave an interview to Ferdinand, discussing his coaching experience at Manchester United. In the interview, he joked that there might still be a chance to win the league title for Manchester United.

Mourinho said: "If Manchester City is found to have violated Financial Fair Play rules, they may be deducted some points, which could provide us with a chance to compete for the league title. Of course, this is just a joke."

In the 17/18 season, Manchester United finished second in the Premier League, accumulating 81 points. Meanwhile, Manchester City clinched the title with an outstanding performance, earning 100 points.
