Apple's Vision Pro head-mounted device faced a wave of returns just two weeks after its release, causing quite a stir. Do you know why? It's said that users complained of ruptured eye blood vessels, dizziness, and headaches after using it, and the device seems to have failed to enhance productivity.

Reportedly, the main reason many people returned it was because the device was too uncomfortable. Some felt dizzy and their eyes felt off when they put it on! Others said the device's weight distribution was uneven, causing it to constantly tilt forward, which must have been quite uncomfortable. Some said they felt excited when they first bought it, but started getting headaches within ten minutes of putting it on. Even Parker Ortolani, a product manager at The Verge, said wearing the Vision Pro was like self-inflicted torture. It's said that using this device can even lead to ruptured eye blood vessels, which sounds really frightening, doesn't it? But to be honest, VR devices seem to have had these issues all along, like dry and red eyes, and it seems no one can escape them.

As for productivity issues, it's said that the Vision Pro hasn't contributed much in this regard either. Some say using it to look at Figma screens makes them dizzy, so it's impossible to use it for work. Others complain that using it to write code is a nightmare, even focusing is a problem, let alone increasing productivity. There are even people on Reddit saying that if the Vision Pro isn't even good for entertainment and has few games, then there's even less reason to keep it. Carter Gibson, a senior manager at Google, also said that using the Vision Pro for multitasking is too difficult, it doesn't support many file types, and it's even less convenient for making slides.

Not everyone may necessarily accept new technology.

It's still an experiment, after all.

After all, it's only the first generation, so there are bound to be shortcomings.
