On February 14th, today, the Lakers defeated the Pistons 125-111 at home, marking their second consecutive victory. After the game, Lakers forward LeBron James was interviewed.
Regarding a play where Anthony Davis defended a fast break by himself against three opponents, James said, "We were testing him, we made a mistake, turned the ball over, and then no one covered back, resulting in a three-on-one situation. We want to see if he's the Defensive Player of the Year. He showed why he is, it's crazy." (Note: Davis has never won the Defensive Player of the Year award).
In this game, James played for 31 minutes, made 9 of 15 shots, scored 25 points, grabbed 1 rebound, and had 8 assists. |
