According to the British newspaper ""The Mirror"" on September 3rd, Manchester City is preparing to double Haaland's salary to ward off interest from Real Madrid.
Haaland had an exciting season at the Etihad Stadium, breaking many personal records in his debut Premier League season and winning the ""treble."" Currently, Haaland's weekly wage is £375,000, making him one of the highest-earning players at the club, alongside De Bruyne.
Reportedly, Manchester City hopes to offer Haaland a new contract with a weekly wage of £600,000. Haaland's contract with the Sky Blues will run until the summer of 2027. The report suggests that Manchester City is aware of Real Madrid's interest, as the Galacticos have been linked with the Norwegian forward in the past. If Manchester City successfully renews Haaland's contract, his annual earnings would reach £32.5 million, placing him among the top ten highest-earning footballers.
Recently, Haaland praised coach Pep Guardiola in an interview and expressed confidence that under Pep's guidance, he can continue to progress. ""He will certainly be very strict with me, and I like that. It's been a while since I've seen him, but I look forward to seeing him again and working with him,"" said Haaland. Guardiola is currently on vacation" |
