On March 3rd, in the NBA regular season, the Los Angeles Lakers faced the Denver Nuggets. The Lakers' superstar, LeBron James, reached 40,000 career points in regular-season games, becoming the first player in NBA history to achieve this milestone.
Before the start of this game, James was only 9 points away from reaching the 40,000-point record. In the first quarter, he scored 5 points. In the second quarter, he made two consecutive baskets, reaching the 9th point of this game and also marking his 40,000th career point.
During the subsequent timeout, James received the game-used basketball, and he was celebrated with cheers from the entire audience.
LeBron James is the only player in NBA history to reach 40,000 career points in regular-season games. He is also the only player in NBA history to achieve at least 40,000 points, 10,000 rebounds, and 10,000 assists. |
