Why Not Just Say "Bet on the Streak" Directly?

Why doesn't the elder directly say "bet on the streak" for "bet on the banker when seeing the banker, and on the player when seeing the player"?

For those who only bet on the banker or player, winning in baccarat without a magical method is impossible.

Betting on the streak or against the streak is a one-dimensional smile method. Betting only on the banker is a zero-dimensional smile method. So, betting on the player when seeing the player is the opposite of betting on the banker, which is what we often hear as "hitting with one hand and hitting with the other."
