A new environmentally friendly Bitcoin alternative, Green Bitcoin (GBTC), made its debut on Uniswap on April 5th. Shortly after, a whale purchased $44,000 worth of GBTC, causing its price to immediately surge by 1.6 times.
GBTC started trading at $1.10, but surged by 63% to reach a high of $1.79 following the whale's purchase.
As of now, sellers have reduced their asking price by about 44%, with the token currently trading at $0.70.
The team has stated that they are prepared to buy back to gradually increase the price. They have also locked in approximately $200,000 (or 284,949 GBTC) in liquidity for the next year. These measures have helped alleviate downward price pressure. |
