The additional funding for the six-month extension will come from the Denver City Council. A mid-term study showed that participants' lives changed after receiving six months of economic assistance, and DBIP is supplementing its plan accordingly. According to the study, all three payment groups saw significant improvements in various aspects of life, including housing, economic conditions, security, and overall mental health. Mark Donovan, founder and executive director of DBIP, said, "Many people have reported using this money to pay off debts, repair cars, secure housing, and attend courses.
