Today's first lesson is about how to bet on the total goals scored in a game. This course is completely free, and if you find it valuable, that's the biggest reward! The goal is to encourage everyone to think independently. There are no superheroes in the world; if you are strong enough, you can be your own hero!
Regarding betting on total goals, I divide it into four steps:
Step 1: Check the opening goal total for the game, which you can find on many websites (usually in match analysis). The opening goal total is an initial estimate by bookmakers, and it may vary slightly. However, it often aligns closely with the opening line, which is where bookmakers excel. For example, if the opening goal total for a match is set at 2.5, it means there might be around 3 goals. Please note that this data is for reference only.
Step 2: Consider the recent performance of both teams. Look at the goals scored and conceded in the last five important matches. This data is crucial. It's hard to imagine two teams with mediocre offenses suddenly scoring three or more goals. Similarly, if you have teams that rely solely on attacking without much defense, be cautious about predicting fewer than three goals. Be especially careful when dealing with so-called strong teams against weaker ones. Don't jump to conclusions. Look at the relationship between the two teams. Winning the game should be the primary goal. There's no need to sour the relationship. After all, the word ""relationship"" has already made it into the Oxford English Dictionary!
Step 3: Consider the characteristics of the league. Does Serie A tend to have fewer than three goals per game? Is the Premier League more prone to high-scoring matches? Does the Brazilian league often start with at least four goals? Are La Liga's top teams known for high-scoring games? Does Atlético Madrid prioritize winning games even if it means fewer goals? Is the Norwegian or Swedish league known for 4:2 or 2:4 scorelines?
Step 4: Betting on total goals requires honing your ability to analyze games. Find the most recent important match between the two teams and see how many goals were scored. Are there key players who influenced the match, and what tactics were employed? Combine recent performance with analysis of possible factors that could affect this particular game. Narrow down the range of possible goal totals. Finally, I have a basic principle for betting on total goals. Typically, bets on 2 or 3 total goals have lower odds. I always look for a game where I'm confident there will be at least four goals and include it in my bet. This way, I have a better profit margin. With total goals, it doesn't matter who wins or loses; it's all about whether there are goals or no goals. Watching the game becomes more relaxed. Okay? |
