In 2018, Federer won the Australian Open, securing his 20th Grand Slam title. At that time, Nadal had 17, and Djokovic had 14, forming an arithmetic progression. Many believed that Federer's status as the GOAT (Greatest of All Time) was secure because all three of them were over 30 years old, and it was expected that their performance would gradually decline. Furthermore, Djokovic seemed to be struggling at the time, and Nadal was thought to be limited by his playing style, which might eventually hinder his mobility.

Who could have predicted that 5 years later, Djokovic would have 24, Nadal 22, and Federer 20 Grand Slam titles? Although they still formed an arithmetic progression, the order of the three had completely reversed. What was once considered a stable position for Federer had turned him into the third in line.

You got it wrong. In 2018, after the Australian Open, it was 20-16-12. By the French Open, it became 20-17-12. Djokovic then made a comeback in the second half of the year, and by the end of the 2018 US Open, it was 20-17-14.

I originally thought that if Djokovic won Wimbledon this year, it would be 24-22-20 in terms of Grand Slam titles, thus establishing a Wimbledon arithmetic progression. However, it was disrupted by Alcaraz's victory.

I'm very satisfied with Djokovic's 3 Grand Slam titles and 1 runner-up finish at the age of 36.
