"Today's 'Story' unfolded in Malaysia, where the protagonist's brother fell victim to a work scam and was trafficked to Myanmar's Myawaddy for labor. However, what's even more unfortunate is... the female lead of this 'Story,' Miss Tan, met a man in February last year and developed a romantic relationship, moving in together in July. At the time, her boyfriend learned about Miss Tan's brother being trapped in a trafficking camp in Myanmar, unable to return. Her brother had secretly called their family for help, and this compassionate boyfriend offered to assist in the search for her brother.

Initially, the boyfriend claimed to know a Thai friend who could help contact 'Overseas Dragon' Mr. Wong to rescue her brother but required a fee, and without suspicion, Miss Tan gave him a sum of money. (Note: 'Overseas Dragon' has helped other victims escape Myanmar and return home.) After taking the money, the boyfriend promptly journeyed to Thailand to meet 'Overseas Dragon.' To gain trust, he even took videos and photos with 'Overseas Dragon' to prove he had indeed sought help. However, it was later confirmed that 'Overseas Dragon' did interact with this boyfriend but did not receive any money from him.

Shortly after, the boyfriend claimed to go to Thailand again to 'rescue people.' At this point, the story took a bizarre turn, and Miss Tan began to grow suspicious. By then, she had already given her boyfriend over RM 50,000. This self-proclaimed savior claimed to have entered the human trafficking camp village to gather information about her brother. He even claimed to have clashed with locals, with one person allegedly injuring him with a knife. Amidst the chaos, the boyfriend jumped into a river to escape, losing a waist pouch (containing the cash Miss Tan gave him), his personal passport, and other documents. He attributed his safe return to Malaysia to the assistance of the Malaysian embassy in Myanmar.

Due to the boyfriend's return without any results and the increasingly perplexing storyline, Miss Tan finally grew suspicious. When the boyfriend's relatives cleaned up the house, they found the so-called lost waist pouch and passport, exposing his lies. Miss Tan confronted her boyfriend for deceiving her using her brother's predicament, resulting in her angrily kicking him out. However, this audacious man returned twice to create chaos, threaten her, and even vandalize her car mirror. Fearing for her safety, Miss Tan reported the incidents to the police.

Miss Tan not only failed to receive help regarding her brother's situation but was also scammed out of RM 50,000. In my opinion, her family appears too trusting—both the brother and the sister. It's a pity that their mother is watching her children suffer while being unable to help. This news serves as a reminder to be cautious when seeking employment, as human trafficking cases occur frequently, and falling into their traps can have dire consequences."

Many times, it's not about how clever the scammer's tactics are, but rather, someone misplaced their trust in the scammer! There's a saying online that makes a lot of sense: 'Those you can deceive are the ones willing to believe you!

In this day and age, honest people are often vulnerable. I used to think that being honest was a good quality, but now I feel that honest people must also have a bit of cunning to survive in this society.

This is a case of a bad encounter. This woman is truly pitiable, as she easily believed this so-called boyfriend, which led to her unfortunate situation. It teaches us that we should always be vigilant and especially careful in urgent situations, not hastily trust anyone. It not only cost her money but also delayed the resolution of the issue.

Yes, it's true that being too trusting can be quite dangerous. The world can be a treacherous place, so sometimes it's best to trust oneself above all else.

Scammers tend to succeed when they encounter individuals with low intelligence, regardless of gender. It's really not surprising.

The people who can deceive you sometimes are the ones around you.
