On September 17th, according to an official announcement, Ceffu, the cryptocurrency custodian and partner of Binance, stated that the SEC claimed in documents submitted on September 14th that Ceffu provided third-party "wallet custody software and support services" to BAM. Ceffu strongly opposes this claim. As a custodial technology service provider under Ceffu Holdings, Ceffu is committed to providing digital asset custody solutions to institutional clients in specific jurisdictions, excluding the United States and other areas. Furthermore, Ceffu's operations and services are completely independent of BAM and BHL. Previously, on September 15th, according to CoinDesk, Binance.US was accused of not cooperating with the U.S. SEC's investigation, with the SEC stating that the company's pledging, settlement, and brokerage services violated federal securities regulations. The U.S. federal regulatory agency expressed concerns that Binance.US used Ceffu to provide custodial services, violating a previous agreement, and fearing that user assets would be transferred overseas. |
