According to reporter Bailey Richards, a large Kobe Bryant mural in Los Angeles is facing the possibility of being demolished. It is reported that this mural is located outside a gym, and the gym's owner has recently received a notice from the landlord, requiring him to remove the Kobe mural from the exterior wall by December 31st in order for the landlord to sell advertising space in that location.
The gym owner stated, "This mural holds significant meaning, not only for Los Angeles and Lakers fans but, more importantly, it is a tribute to Kobe and his daughter. The mural was created by the artist with boundless love and has my full support. I am deeply saddened, and I strongly oppose the removal of this mural. While I respect regulations, I hope there can be a way to protect it."
Furthermore, the gym owner expressed willingness to bear additional costs to protect the mural. Currently, some internet users have initiated a petition on a website, urging the landlord to reconsider the decision and preserve the mural. Kobe's widow, Vanessa, shared the petition on social media, writing, "Please sign the petition to protect this beautiful Kobe and Gianna mural. Thank you." |
