"The latest casino resort by Caesar's Entertainment at Lake Charles, Louisiana, is set to open on December 12, 2022. This property had been closed for two years after being damaged by Hurricane Laura in 2008, followed by the subsequent challenges posed by the pandemic and the decline in on-land casino, hotel, and entertainment businesses.
However, the casino resort is making a stylish comeback and will feature Louisiana's first Gordon Ramsay restaurant covering 60,000 square feet, set to open next year in the main hotel. For players from both in and out of the state, the new gaming venue from Caesar's Entertainment will be what they've been waiting for. The casino will showcase over 1,000 slot machines, along with dozens of table games, at least one sportsbook, and over 250 hotel rooms. Caesar's Entertainment confirmed that customers can already make reservations. The company's Chief Operating Officer and President, Anthony Carano, acknowledged that the initial loss caused by the hurricane indeed took management by surprise.
Carano said, ""We didn't expect the property to be closed for this long."" However, the wait has been worth it. He added that the team is proud of the restoration and improvements made at Lake Charles, which is essentially a new property: ""We look forward to welcoming our partners and the community to celebrate this milestone with us and introduce them to Lake Charles."" Jeff Favre, General Manager and SVP of Lake Charles, is also enthusiastic about the collaboration and stated that the team is eagerly looking forward to welcoming guests back to the new resort experience. He added that the reopening of the Lake Charles casino after more than two years of closure is a highlight of the celebration. The property was formerly known as an island but has been renamed and rebranded under a new marketing push, hoping to give this place a fresh start and move past its unfortunate past. The brand rejuvenation seems to have been successful. A ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place on a specific date in December, culminating with fireworks. The Lake Charles property will be available at ten locations. The brand is one of Caesar's Entertainment's flagship assets to date." |
