What are your thoughts on the increasing popularity of women's cricket?

The popularity of Women’s cricket is increasing in India as well as around the world. Since the inauguration of WBBL and WIPL, women’s cricket has grabbed a lot of attention. Though the viewership is still far when compared to men’s cricket I guess it will be closer and closer in the coming days.

This is a very good move in the direction of equality in cricket. With the rise of Women’s cricket, they will get to play more games and hence earn a good amount of money which they were not able to earn before the pandemic time.

Women’s cricket was bound to become popular at some point in time, especially in India. As India reached the finals of the last ICC Women’s ODI World Cup, and the Commonwealth Games, people have started supporting women players, which is a good step.
