1.Cursing and arguing: Cursing, arguing, or getting into conflicts with others in a gambling venue can disrupt the harmonious atmosphere and may lead to being kicked out of the casino or unnecessary trouble. I believe it has to do with the energy in the place; when there's an argument, the energy becomes negative, which can affect one's luck.
2.Talking to oneself in the casino: Talking to oneself, muttering, or loudly complaining about one's bad luck is considered an unlucky sign and may also affect the experience of other gamblers. People who talk to themselves in the casino are either troubled or trying to influence others with their words. I don't do this, so I'm not concerned about this taboo.
3.Mentioning unlucky topics: Discussing misfortune, death, or other unlucky topics while gambling is seen as a taboo. It is believed that this can bring bad luck. I think it's best to keep quiet while gambling.
4.Changing seats when luck is bad: Some people believe that if you're having bad luck, changing your seat or switching to a different table might change your luck. However, this is just a superstition. I believe in it, and it's such a simple thing to do, so why not try it? I've actually had my luck improve a few times after changing seats.
5.Avoiding distractions from loved ones: It's best to avoid having your significant other around while gambling, as distractions can lead to financial losses. Gambling requires concentration, and any external interference can affect decision-making. Plus, never rely on your partner's intuition for gambling because casino games are typically designed with the house having the advantage. If you're a regular gambler, it's essential to understand that relying on intuition to win is unrealistic. In gambling, rationality and caution are key. Never thought this would be a taboo, but no significant other means no worries.
6.Not looking at the gambling table: Some people believe that not looking at the gambling table while a game is in progress is a good omen because they think it can avoid influencing their luck.
7.Avoiding unlucky numbers: In some cultures, certain numbers are considered lucky or unlucky. For example, in Chinese culture, the number 8 is considered lucky, while the number 4 is considered unlucky because it sounds similar to the word for ""death."" Therefore, avoiding the use of unlucky numbers in gambling is common. I'm not a fan of the number 4 either; if I can avoid it, I do.
8.Avoiding gambling when feeling low: If you're feeling down, depressed, or anxious, it's best to avoid gambling. These emotional states can lead to impulsive decisions and unwise bets. Fortunately, I don't like to gamble when I'm feeling low. However, I believe it's possible because emotions can't be focused, and luck may suffer as a result.
