On September 22nd, Lakers center Christian Wood gave an interview.
When asked about his most underestimated basketball skill, Wood said, "Underrated? I would say it's my passing ability in pick-and-roll situations. I think I've improved in that area, especially with my experience playing alongside Luka (Dončić) last season, and his ability to draw defenders, attract double teams, which allowed me to be open in the mid-post and pass the ball to my teammates in the corners. So, I think that's the aspect of my game that's underrated."
When asked about how he envisions playing alongside Anthony Davis or playing as a center, Wood said, "I'm open to whatever lineup works, whatever the team needs, I'm willing to do. I think playing with him would be an incredible pairing. I've mentioned many times before that Anthony Davis is my favorite player to watch; he's someone I study and learn from. I think we have a lot in common, so I think it would be great." |
