Despite missing the first half of the tournament, Travis Head has been kept in the lineup. Australia will play the opening round of the World Cup with an injured Travis Head, but they have given themselves additional batting protection by selecting Marnus Labuschagne over Ashton Agar, who is out with a calf injury.
Head, who fractured his hand against South Africa, is among the final 15 players on the roster but will miss the first half of the competition.
He is expected to be healthy enough to participate later in the round-robin stage, and his importance to Australia's chances has led them to initially field just 14 players.
