The Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau in Macau has announced the number of gaming promoters approved for the next year. According to the latest information, Macau will only allow a maximum of 50 gaming promoters for the coming year. The Secretary for Economy and Finance set the annual limit for gaming promoters for each concessionaire on July 31, 2023, for the year 2024. The data shows that the limits for gaming promoters collaborating with various operators are as follows: MGM Macau (8), Galaxy Entertainment (5), The Venetian Macao (12), Studio City (8), Wynn Macau (5), and City of Dreams (12).
Under the new Gaming Law, gaming promoters in Macau can only collaborate with one concessionaire, which means that in 2024, there can be a total of 50 gaming promoters working with concessionaires. Currently, there are 36 gaming promoters in Macau. Additionally, the Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau has set the annual limit for collaborators for the year 2024 at 250 people. However, based on the latest update, there are currently seven approved collaborators, with one more in the approval process.
Since the implementation of the new "Entertainment and Lucky Gaming Operations System" in Macau, gaming promoters' income is derived from a commission of 1.25% of the rolling chip turnover, and this commission is paid by the concessionaire. Collaborators, on the other hand, are those who provide services to gaming promoters. |
