Marnus Labuschagne has made his way into the World Cup team at the last moment.

Marnus Labuschagne is an Australian middle-order batter who has excellent records in tests but has batted average in the white ball format. Although he was not meant to get into the team for the World Cup, he made his place in the team last the moment.

Marnus is a really good player. It is true that his recent form in the white ball format is not that good but he has many years of experience and also can ball some overs if needed. So, in my opinion, he is a good addition to the team.

He has played tremendously well in the series against India just before the World Cup and playing on the Indian soil suits his nature of game. He can play an anchor role like Smith and if needed can also accelerate the run speed.

He is a good addition to the team but will warm the benches in my opinion. Australia already had its middle-over batters fixed like Mitch Marsh, Smith, Green and Maxwell. While Carey and Stoinis are batting in the lower order.
