On September 24th, Wizards head coach Wes Unseld Jr. spoke to the media about the changes in the team.
"Overall, we are now a completely new team," Wes Unseld Jr. stated in the interview.
"Our roster has undergone significant changes, and we lost our franchise player Bradley Beal, as well as someone we were familiar with, Kristaps Porziņģis."
"While we cannot overlook Beal's impact on the team in the past, we have gained some fantastic talents, and our salary cap space has become more flexible."
This gives us a lot of freedom in terms of our future. We have a lot of young talents, with seven players under 27 years old. While this feeling is certainly different from the past, we are also incredibly excited because of it.
