Since the retirement of Ashish Nehra and Zaheer Khan, India has not been able to produce a good left-armed pacer who balls at a good speed. India is over-dependent on its right-handed pacers.

India has some good left-handed pacers but they don’t bowl at a good speed. Bowlers like Khaleel Ahmed, Arshdeep and Natrajan have played for India already, but have not been able to secure their place in the top 11.

After this World Cup, India should work on finding a good left-arm pacer who bowls at 140kmph+ speed. Mohsin Khan who bowled in the IPL can be a potential player for this feat. BCCI should dig a lot deeper in the domestic circuit also.

I think Arshdeep Singh can be an asset if he is groomed properly. He should work to bowl 140+ in the coming years. He already can swing the ball and is deceptive at the death. He is a good prospect to groom for the next World Cup.
