The most appealing aspect of gambling is the excitement of getting rich overnight and the high returns. Earning hundreds or thousands in just a few seconds can be as thrilling as the speed at which the world's richest individuals accumulate wealth. As a result, many people find it difficult to stop once they get hooked on gambling, and they continue playing until they've lost everything.
I often see in gambling rooms, even at 4 or 5 in the morning, a group of people fully engaged and enthusiastic, playing mahjong or poker. Winners are elated, eager to win even more, while losers become more determined and anxious to recover their losses. In this frenzy, people tend to forget the passage of time, and sometimes they realize it's already morning and wonder if it's time for breakfast.
We have many people here who enjoy playing mahjong and poker. Some time ago, a person in their fifties or sixties played through the night and collapsed at the edge of the table. Their gambling buddies panicked and called for a doctor to take them to the hospital. The diagnosis was a cerebral hemorrhage, and they stayed in the hospital for six months. When they were finally discharged, they could only walk with a limp. This can be considered lucky because it could have been much worse.
So, my friends, how long has it been since you had a proper sleep? How many consecutive nights have you spent gambling? While gambling can be enjoyable, remember that your health is more important. Take breaks, gamble responsibly, and play for the long term. |
