On October 1st, Lakers guard Austin Rivers was recently interviewed.
Speaking about standout players in the recent mini-camp, Rivers said, "Of course, there's AD (Anthony Davis). I'm happy to see his shooting return to its previous level, everyone knows he has that ability. When they won the championship in the bubble, his shooting was accurate, and he kept opponents honest from beyond the three-point line. But beyond that, obviously LeBron (James) is still LeBron. He's entering his 21st season now, and you think - I personally thought at some point I would say, 'Okay, his decline is coming.' But it hasn't come. In the past week, we've trained together a few times, and he still performs like he's in his twenties, he still has that bounce and agility, and the motivation to keep going.
"Furthermore, D-Lo (D'Angelo Russell) looks good, Gabe (Vincent) looks good, and Christian Wood's shooting is also good. Everyone looks good in San Diego. It's a time for us to bond off the court, as well as on the court." |
