I recently came across the fact that if you can explain something to a 5 or 6-year-old child, you can explain it to anyone. Can we use this method to explain complex things like cryptocurrencies?

For a 5-year-old kid, blockchain technology can be explained as a diary that everyone has in a game. Whenever someone scores a point, everyone writes that in their diary. At the end of the game, even if someone tries to cheat by increasing their points, the rest other’s diaries would not match and we will catch the cheater.

Complex technologies like blockchain are difficult to explain unless you delete a lot of information about networking, the concept of money, why can money be spent twice, inflation, and the principle of demand and supply.

The best way to explain to a kid about blockchain technology is to show him its benefits like faster transactions, cheaper transaction costs, and security in a phased manner. By doing that he will understand it in a much better way.

Further, blockchain transactions do not require any minimum age as compared to bank accounts which makes it possible to teach kids by using the real thing itself.
