The Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, Gujarat was renamed from Sardar Vallabhbhai Stadium. But is this ethical? Renaming a stadium from its earlier name to the name of the current Prime Minister?

I think this is a decisive move by the ruling government to name the stadium after the name of the Prime Minister. Also, one end of the Modi stadium bears Adani's name while the other is Reliance.

There has been a lot of impact of Narendra Modi on the state of Gujarat. He was twice the chief minister of Gujarat and he is the country's prime minister. It’s just a tribute to the Prime Minister for his contributions to the state of Gujarat.

I think there is no need to debate if it's wrong to use the name of the stadium over the Prime Minister’s name. Even the airports of Delhi and Hyderabad are named after Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi respectively.
